Local Advocacy
One of our foundational pillars is to build the capacity and local infrastructure to better accommodate our Deaf children within all areas of society. Although our current focus is access to equitable educational opportunities, as we grow, so will our vision.
Currently, we are working with the parents of the students and other stakeholders to advocate for more support for our students at the governmental level. We support the parents in developing strategies to address the various barriers to accessing equitable education that our students, and other Deaf children in Swaziland face. We are working closely with local entities to identify gaps within the system that need to be leveraged, while also focusing on areas that cannot be reached due to governmental restraints and priorities.
